Speech impaired children –> Om Mangukiya

I took on an endeavour to help speech and hearing impaired children by visiting a school.
I took a goal to make those impaired children to conduct activities with them and ensure that the impaired children’s hygiene is ensured.

I demonstrated learning outcome 7 by considering and sympathising with the children by helping them feel a part of the community. I considered the ethical issues that the children are facing due to their disabilities and how they are being treated in inhumane manners. I also provided them with soaps, buckets and other hygiene materials through which they can live a healthy life.I also learning outcome 2 since it was difficult to communicate effectively with the speech and hearing impaired children. It seemed to be difficult to establish a proper communication mode to conduct the activities and understand the feeling and emotions which they express via sign language. Moreover, I catered to learning outcome 3 by visiting a visually and hearing impaired school with my friends in order to look at the scenario they are experiencing and understand the circumstances they are facing.

In summary I also showcased the learner profile caring by showing affection and communication with students who are usually alienated due to their disabilities. By conducting activities me and my friends created a sense of belongingness amongst the ones who are usually alienated by the society due to their disabilities.

Overall, I believe that the activity was a success since me and my team help to inspire students to pursue their goals and provide hygiene resources to the students in order to live a healthy life.
