CAS Reflection _ Convocation (Activity and Service)

The convocation was a final farewell to my seniors and a proud moment for them to graduate from high school. The convocation contained a gigantic crowd of teacher, parents, guest of honors, students etc. who had to be welcomed and arranged in a huge auditorium in order for the farewell to process smoothly.

I catered to learning outcome 1 since I worked on my strength of directions and spatial awareness to direct parents, students, guest etc. to their respective position while simultaneously improving my communication skills in order to convey the directions with more efficiency.

I catered to learning outcome 2, since welcoming and arranging the guests is a tedious tasks which requires a lot of patience and perseverance in order to achieve the desired result. Moreover, some guests misinterpreted instructions, got distracted by the event therefore they needed to be guided constantly to their seating location.

I catered to learning outcome 3, since I aided in initiating and planning the CAS experience throughout the convocation. I had to understand the number of guests, divide the guests into various categories, dedicate specific seats to guests etc. throughout the convocation.

I catered to learning outcome 5 since I worked collaboratively with the welcoming team discipline team and seating team in order to ensure that the event flows smoothly. Moreover, in the venue I worked collaboratively with the teachers, supporting staff etc. in order to ensure that the seating arrangement is organized and that every guest is guided to the designated seats.

Overall, I would describe this endeavor as a success since the end result of the convocation going as planned makes the hard work and time put into the effort worthwhile. The teachers, parents, students and guests of honor has a great time in attending the event.
