twice a week(started in 2021 still continuing)
purpose: To improve my skills in art so that I can become more confident in expressing myself through it and become a creative person in the world of visual arts.
LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for growth.
Art was something that I was always interested in, but I also looked at it as something to do when you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed or simply when you are trying to get your mind off something or are simply bored. I never looked at it as a skill that you can try to master and improve. But with CAS I started to improve my skill under the guidance of a supervisor.
we started with pencil drawing so we practiced different types of shadings like shadows, gradients, cross-hatching etc.
We wanted to then start with portraits
LO2: Demonstrated that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
we started with different organs like eyes, nose, lips separately but drawing them together with proper measurements was a bit of a task but practicing them repeatedly helped me master it.
LO4: show commitment and preserve to cas experiences
to acquire these new skills I had to show commitment in practicing these almost every day so that I do not lose the skills that I learned.
