Learning how to do a handstand. -experience

In this CAS experience, I wanted to be able to do a handstand on my own, at least within a week, because it has always been fascinating for me. I took the help of a friend who knows how to do a handstand and learned from him. My interest in this particular activity is being able to master a handstand because it is just something I find cool and wanted to learn for the longest time.

This cas experience will come under activity where the focused LOs are LO1 and LO2 and LO3.

The first learning outcome was showcased here (Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth). For this CAS experience, my skills are that I have light workout sessions every alternate day to keep my body physically healthy and strong, so I assume that doing a handstand would not be hard for me. Here I identified my own strength that I already had the fitness level where learning a handstand would not be as hard as it would be if I had not been physically fit and working out.

The second learning outcome was showcased here (Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken developing new skills) So I had a few challenges while trying to do this CAS experiences that were I did not know where to or how to start, learning a handstand is like learning a new skill so i had to work towards my challenges such as, as first I could not even get to take my lower body over my upper body but after practicing a little and understanding how to do it from a friend, i was able to complete the first step to learning the handstand, then another challenge was that I was not able to hold the handstand for a while, i would fall almost immediately, but to overcome this, I had to practice as well, and over time, with practice, I learned how to hold my handstand too.

The third learning outcome was showcased here (initiate and plan a CAS experience). For this CAS experience, I had to plan out a whole plan, firstly, I contacted my friend who had been doing gymnastics and asked for his help, to which he agreed to teach and assist me. Then, I had to make time in my everyday schedule and plan when to meet with the friend who would help and get started with the handstand learning.

The learner profile applicable here is being a risk-taker as I am trying to learn something that can be dangerous and something can go wrong and I can be physically hurt, which may not be fatal but still can be problematic. I am pushing myself forward to learn new things that excite me and will benefit my health.

In the end, it took me 9 days to learn how to do a handstand but with wall support, so I was not able to learn it all properly either.
