I have been cycling since I was a kid but I have never been able to ride for such long distances so this seems like a good opportunity where I can push myself to do long distance cycling, i started gradually keeping on increasing the distance to see how long can I travel and my goal was to reaching my city’s beach (dumas), I started with 5kms, 8kms, 10kms, 20kms, 30kms, 40kms and 50kms. the LO’s we will go through is LO1, LO2, LO4, LO5

LO1 (Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth)

I loved cycling as a kid but couldn’t cover a lot of distance so I’ll try increasing my capacity of cycling in more distance

LO4 & LO2(Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experience & Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process)

I went to cycle for 4 Sundays in a month, i started cycling at a very off climate. i cycled when it was raining and it was really hard for me because I’m not usual to cycle in such windy climate, there were many times when I travelled long distances and my body was really paining during this whole experience.

LO5(Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively)

I usually went cycling with friends and a club which I’m a member of, going with someone is really helpful because on early morning the environment is windy, so if I get very tired I get into someone else’s slipstream to complete my goal for the day!

this helped me be more collaborative and more of a team person.
