It is the age of digital art. Hence, I decided to learn how to do digital art and online softwares- corel draw and photoshop. The first one is a vector art painting of a pirate. The second one is a digital portrait. I did 4 digital art paintings along the course of 10 days.

LO1- Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

It was my first time working on any kind of software and I had no idea of the keys and short- cuts of working. I learned by watching online YouTube tutorials and through trial and error. Ater finishing my design, I noticed that there were gaps between the figure. What had happened was that, I should have made one figure and then started coloring it. But I made different figures for hands, face, legs and hence, I later discovered that there were gaps between which showed the background color. I then had to stay calm and figure out a way to fill the gaps and fix it.

LO2- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

This experience was very new to me as I had never done anything of the kind. I undertook this challenge not knowing whether or not I will be able to do this or not. As I mentioned earlier, I made a lot of mistakes and had to figure out a solution through trial and error.

LO4- Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

Because it was a new experience, I has no idea whether or not I would be able to pull it off and make a good final product or not. But I didn’t quit and persevered. With time, I noticed that I was getting better and better and got to learn a lot.
