Activity – Going to the gym

Goal – To improve my physical fitness and well being .

LO1 –

Strengths 

–  Played football for 7 yrs 

– Already a personal interest in physical fitness 

– Open to learn new things 

Weakness 

  • Getting bored easily 
  • Tight time schedule 
  • Lack of motivation 

I anyhow had to take time out for going to the gym so i decided to change my sleep 

Schedule by sleeping early at night and waking up early and going to the gym in 

The morning 

LO2 – 

The challenges which i faced at the starting were not waking up on time as my sleep schedule was changed and facing time management issues and second was feel tired or sleepy while school hours , but i somehow i managed to work and change my sleep schedule by compulsory sleeping at 10 and waking up at 6 , Slowly and gradually as the days went by i also developed the time management skill . 

LO3-

Organising myself was not a difficult thing i am usually an organised person , talking upon what was more difficult planning or intianting i chose initiating cause everybody plans to wake up at 5 or 6 am in the morning the most difficult part is in the morning getting out of your bed and getting ready with a tight schedule very difficult . During this process I discovered that I am a quick learner. Sometimes I used to get late but I was quick enough to notice my mistakes and make changes for the next day .  This attribute of a quick learner could any day help me in my future and I could use this as one of my strengths . 

LO4 – 

There were commitments which i had to make to myself to get the result i wanted which were following my diet , sleep schedule , balancing mental health with physical and some personal commitments too . I had to quit on sugar , leave my fav food items which used to give me a lot of cravings but somehow i had to manage to control my mind to not force me to eat those things . I also had to quit late night gaming sessions to wake up on time on the next day .

LO7-

I belong from a family where we don’t eat non veg food as it’s against our ethics and our religion also says no to eat non veg food , we all also know that it comes from killing of animals , people tell that it consists of high protein you should eat it but i didn’t eat that food as it was against my ethics .      

My final take away from this activity was that physical well being is as important as other things in life , also while working I developed few learner profile characteristics which were knowledgeable , principled and open minded . First one was knowledgeable because in the starting phase when i joined the gym , everyday i was learning new techniques to perform the exercises so to know more i used to search about them on web when i used to get back home , next is principled I displayed this in my activity cause with workout to get results you need a good diet so if anyday i use to cheat i would be the solely responsible for that i couldn’t blame it to anyone and if you don’t follow the rules you don’t get the results for which again i myself was responsible . Furthermore while I had been in the gym there would also be other people there so you know slowly people starting seeing you daily you get new friends , have good conversations , do alternate sets this all comes if you’re an extrovert and open minded which i displayed .
