Helping the Gardner with watering the garden and growing vegetables:

I have often observed that my Gardner constantly works in the scorching and sweltering heat every single day. It is extremely concerning to see someone work so hard despite the circumstances. The least we could do is lend them a helping hand when you can. I personally felt like this would not only be a great CAS opportunity but it could also be one of the most generous ways to lift a weight off of someone’s back who’s desperately in need of a break. I helped the gardner by planting a few flowers myself. I selected a set of my flowers that I liked the most out of the flower seeds that he bought along with himself.

The learning outcomes of this project were learning outcome 3: demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experiment, learning outcome 5: demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively and learning outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.

LO5:

During this CAS activity I learnt how to initiate and plan a CAS experiment along with recognising my collaboration skills. I recognised that the benefits if working collaboratively along with someone helps reduces a lot of stress and work load especially in a job that requires a lot of perseverance and patience during the process.

LO4:

This CAS activity required a lot of commitment since it was very time consuming because it happened throughout a given time period which was once a week in one month. It is usual for people to give up during such tiring and burdensome CAS activities. Also, since I was very committed to making the best out of this CAS activity, I had a lot of pressure on me to help make the gardener’s work easy.
