paper project is an initiative taken by a small group of 6 students where we collected all the waste chart papers and hoarding from events that take place in our school, the primary purpose of the project is that instead of all these papers going to waste, we can shred it and make signs of global issues from which we can spread awareness in the society about these global issues.
The LO’s I will be using are LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4, LO5, LO6
LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
by conducting this project, I realized that my art is very satisfactory and if I work more on it, it can be really unique and it would help me later in my life as I want to do architecture where I will majorly need arts.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.
Meanwhile, the project, finding committees/ NGOs was a ruckus as we wanted more and more people to know and were trying to find some unique NGOs or a very large NGO, after finding the perfect NGO fixing their timings with ours was again very difficult but we somehow did it, by this, we learned a lot by how convincing people can be hard and how time is so important in life.
LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.
we invested 1 month of our time where we had to plan everything from collecting chart papers to segregating them in colors to shredding them to making them into artwork to finally donating them by this we learned to plan our time accordingly and initiate a CAS experience like this.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
Our group had made a timeline and a plan which we had to follow punctually to complete our goals in the predicted time, showing commitment to our CAS project.
LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
without my group, I wouldn’t be able to complete this project I’m sure that doing it alone would give me under so much pressure because doing so many things in significantly less time is not a possible thing but working collaboratively everything got and seemed easy.
LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance.
the whole purpose of our project is to showcase the issues of global significance and help society get impacted by it in order to make them aware of all the things which seem small but grouping together makes it a very large issue.
LO7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.
We recycled papers instead of using new papers and spread awareness which led to low pollution as creating a paper requires huge amounts of water and wood in it so we saved a lot of resources and still spread our message through efficient use of resources.
