Swappers stop was an event organized by the Business Management team. For the event the students were requested to swap certain items ranging from clothes to accessories and more, with other students based on the points they receive from the items swapped. I participated in the event and even contributed to the decoration of the event.

LOs : 5, 6, 7

LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
To execute a successful event it was important to collaborate and divide work to complete work within time. But working in group isn’t always easy as people have different ideas because of which conflicts could arise. To avoid this we used to have regular meetings with the decor team and the teachers to avoid any kind of confusion and also we tried our best to include everyone’s idea and execute the event fruitfully.

LO 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
The global issue considered here is sustainable consumption. This event was an effort to spread awareness about the importance of economic and environmental sustainability which could be achieved through the reduction in wastage by the means of Reusing and sharing. After being a part of the event, I understood the importance of sustainable consumption and the idea of reusing which was a bit alien to me. This event taught me that nothing is a waste, anything that is not useful for you could still be useful for others.

LO 7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
This event made us question about the choices we make in our daily lives. We should responsible about our consumption and wastage. This is not just about the things we already own and about any further step we take in future. Being a part of the decor team for the event it was important for us to maintain the essence of the event by minimizing our consumption of resources and produce minimal waste by reusing the waste for decoration purpose.
