CAS Project – Swappers Stop

In today’s time, sustainability is the most trending topic in the world. Sustainable housing, sustainable cars, sustainable energy, and much more. Swappers Stop was an event planned by the business management and economics teachers and students. The event’s sole purpose was to promote sustainability, in which we gathered books, old but in good condition clothes, and accessories. Students would receive points based on what they brought, and on the event day, they could use those points to exchange clothes, books, or accessories for whatever they want. This would prevent people from buying new clothes and dumping their old ones, reducing waste and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience The collection stage, the decor stage, and the execution of the event had to be planned effectively so that no other dates and class slots clashed or were missed during the preparation. The swappers stop event required a lot of planning because we were limited by the space we had to execute the event, and the entire event was based on the theme of recycling, so the collection stage, the decor stage, and the execution of the event had to be planned effectively so that no other dates and class slots clashed or were missed during the preparation.

I was the social media coordinator with my friend, we created a logo for the event, and an Instagram page, and created a poster including all the information about the event, like where and when the event is going to happen, and what is the event about. Adding on, I was a part of the decor team also, I helped in making the logo, and all other decorations. Moreover, I did photography too of the whole planning of the event.

This event took place in August, during a time when we were busy with submissions and academic tests with other events. I had to demonstrate dedication by arriving early to school or missing my free classes in order to complete all of the pending work allocated to me during this event. Despite my forthcoming test and personal task, I demonstrated perseverance by finishing the task assigned to me.

In order to make this event a success, I also exhibited my ability to work collaboratively. Working together helped the entire decor team as well as the media team because we were able to share and demonstrate our ideas. We also gave up a couple concepts in order to find the ideal one. However, there were numerous internal conflicts among people as a result of opposing ideas and failure to follow basic event rules and procedures, but we managed to work together to understand individuals’ strengths and weaknesses and execute the event. Every member of the team has contributed enthusiastically and has proved their strength.

Finally, this event had a significant impact on worldwide relevance. Because of the rapid expansion in the fast Fashion Industry Trends, the fashion pieces and goods present in a person’s wardrobe are not appropriately utilised and are left there for decades. The things may be in good condition and still be valuable. As part of encouraging sustainability, we should exchange things for other people’s unwanted goods to reduce waste, recycle resources, and repurpose goods.
