I really love watching formula one and I wanted to share this sport and make more people watch it with me. me and one of my friends planned a screening for this sporting event. We had different types of seats priced differently. We booked out a theatre of 40 seats. We created a website to promote this event and shared the link with some of our friends who had never seen F1 and asked them if they would like to purchase a ticket. we got 29 responses on the form that e created for the Austrian Grand Prix. and out of the 12 people 8 showed up and the others couldn’t join due to personal reasons.
LO -1: Identify their own strengths and develop areas of personal growth. I and my friend found out what we could do best and after that did the tasks that we could do better than the other person so it would be better and we would have a better chance of success.
LO -2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process. Despite people could already see F1 at home at no extra charges apart from the subscription that they have so to convince them to join us for the event was really tough and also we had to offer food and drinks to compensate for the ticket price.
LO -3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience. We had to design the website, create a form, book the venue and spread the event through word of mouth. We had to plan everything g on which venue to book and whom to call and get the food and drinks for all the people attending the screening.
LO -4: show commitment to perseverance in CAS experiences. We both in total called over 30 to 40 people but only 12 filled out the form and only 8 showed up still we were committed to delivering our best to the people coming and ending the event on a good note.
LO – 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively. We both worked as a team and divided the work so it would be easier and a more refined process of managing the event. and as we planned it was easier for both of us as the work was divided.
In all, it was a new experience to organize a small event and be as professional as we possibly could, and enjoy the process rather than being stressed out about it. It was fun and other event happened without any serious glitches. Both of us enjoyed and made some of our friends’ Formula 1 fans.
