Devarsh Shah CAS Experience – Cooking

I was fascinated with deserts during the lockdown, I learned to make so many deserts through youtube. But this time My parents suggested that I should try to make some proper meals so I accepted the challenge and took it up as a CAS Experience. I have also been fascinated with cooking and wanted to try something new apart from deserts. So I made a menu, Kela Bhajiya, Frankie, Vegetable Maggi, and Masala Fried Papad.

LO -1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth, This LO is connected to this experience because as I learn to make the fillings for the bhajiyas and Frankie I learned that cooking is not that easy and so I first planned to make the items which I thought I was good at making like Maggi and fried papad and then learning to operate the gas and then move towards the other more complicated items on the menu.

LO -2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process. As mentioned above this Lo shows the difficulties/challenges faced while I was making the mixtures sometimes it went all over my apron or there would be sprinkles of extremely hot oil all over my apron if I wasn’t careful with the stove.

LO -3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience. this LO also connects with this experience because first I decided on what I was going to cook and prepared a menu for the same and then I

LO -4: show commitment to perseverance in CAS experiences. Despite some things not going as planned I kept trying and in the end, everything was completed and I could achieve my goal and complete and prepare the full menu decided.

I made all the things work In the end and I had to get some guidance from our cook and my mom as I was new to this stuff but in the end, everything went well and I was able to achieve my goal and finish this CAS Project.
