Beach cleaning-(service)

I was always intrested and wanted to keep my city clean as I don’t like land and water pollution, so I took an initiative to persue my goal by cleaning the dumas beach with a collab with other people from grade-11.
Every time we to the Dumas beach, we see a lot of garbage all around it. Our goal was to clean as much as possible and also motivate other people seeing us do the cleaning on the beach to reduce pollution.
The LO’s covered are lo3,lo5,lo6 in this journey to make dumas beach clean.

On the first day, we were able to collect 4 huge plastic bags; on the second day, we were able to collect 7 large plastic bags; on the third day, we were able to collect 6 large plastic bags; and on the fourth day, we were able to collect 11 large plastic bags. Global warming is a serious threat to humanity’s future, which is why we must all promptly cease squandering it. Dumping rubbish on the beach might also endanger the lives of underwater wildlife. We can make a modest difference here by recognising this worldwide problem, but it’s better than nothing.

Learning outcome 4: We as a group tried to stay committed towards this experience because our main goal could really impact the way pollution is been done and people could get aware about this concern and reflect on it. moreover, these commitments done helped us stay on track and reach our goal. Working as a group really helped us as it became easier and made our work quicker with motivation available on every step. furthermore,We were also able to clean a wider area of the beach as a group. We studied and improved our beach cleaning techniques, making the process considerably easier. Because we addressed SDG targets 11 (sustainable cities and communities), 13 (climate change), and 15, our event has global significance (life on land).I felt like someone who should be proud of themselves if they were working on something comparable to this project, even if it was on a tiny scale, because something is always better than nothing.

Learning outcome 5: I decided to do this activity with couple of my friends, and Firstly, it was really hard for all of us to match our schedules and timings in the morning every weekend as everyone had many different reasons but through the collaborative work and efforts we atlast managed to come to a final statement where we would go for beach cleaning every Sunday to keep our city clean. This experience was really fun and was a critical step towards saving our mother nature. At last we decided that through this group work we would motivate others to take a necessary step like this resulting in clean city and keep the species around it safe.

Learning outcome 6: The global issue addressed by us is about all those living species endangered by this unhygienic trash spilled all over many places as well as human directly. Our main focus is to protect the environment and species that are impacted by this terrible land and water pollution. For motivating others to stop this issue, we selected Dumas beach where plastic, chip packet and empathy bottles and small baggage was the most common material spilled in various places In beach and around it. The main issue here is about how impactful it would be if these animals consumed this type of materials by which they could even die and thought the mistake committed by us.For ourselves and those around us, it is vital that we maintain cleanliness in all areas.

to conclude, From now on, I’ve learned that any small action taken to make the world a more livable place is always appreciated. This beach cleanup helped me realise how critical it is to protect Mother Nature and the ecosystem, as well as to reduce land and water pollution.
