CAS experience (Creativity – Food)

In this CAS experience, I learned how to cook some basic food items that I would be able to cook and eat when I am alone at home. Some items that I learned were Pancakes, Dosa, Roti & Sabji, And also some salad. The reason why I wanted to do this activity is that I remain home alone often and I have to order food every time which is not good for my health. Hence I took this initiative to learn how to cook some basic items for myself and be healthy. This learning process started by firstly learning how to cut vegetables, some were potatoes and onions, and tomatoes. Then I learned and remembered where all the required ingredients were kept in the kitchen. Then the main part, where the recipes were to be remembered and practiced. I made every item 3-4 times to properly remember it. The learner profiles in use were reflective and Balanced as I have to get a proper and healthy diet and also create it for me when I am alone. This will become a part of my skill set as I would get a hand on it and would be making food very often so later in time when I ever start living alone, I can cook myself some tasty dosa or pancakes for breakfast. LO 2 & 5 were in focus which are “Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process” & “Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences” respectively.
