Description of the experience:-
Visual arts have always been my forte since I was a little kid. But during the course of years, I gradually left behind my art because of other priorities such as studies but this CAS experience gave me an opportunity to revisit my hobby and learn something new. I had always been somebody who would restrict myself to one form of color which was poster colors but for this experience, I learned more mediums of art and explored different forms. I learned 3 different mediums for this experience which were, resin art, acrylic art, and oil pastels. Because I got very engaged and engrossed in all of this, I even created an Instagram handle for showcasing my art to the world.
LO 3:- Initiate and plan a CAS experience
This CAS experience needed a lot of planning as I had to learn new mediums of art. In order to learn resin art, I enrolled in a drawing and art institute. There were a lot of steps for learning this medium as it had to work with chemicals. Hand in hand, the materials required for making products using resin art are very expensive which is why planning the whole process became a very important thing in order to avoid excess product and wastage of the materials. In addition, the same goes for acrylic art and oil pastels as their colors and materials are also very expensive. However, I learned both of the other mediums by myself and through YouTube. This made it a little challenging as I had to plan my painting in a way that it does not indulge in wasting my materials as well as it turns out in a beautiful way. All in all, planning this CAS experience was very crucial and it helped me complete this experience with ease.
