Learning outcome 1 (Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth):

I kept my weaknesses in mind before beginning my project, due to the lack of practice of this activity. Before starting to create the final video, I tried to look for other professional videos that I could use for inspiration and I ideas that I could include in my video. I also looked for many tutorials to understand the process of creating this music video and I wasn’t familiar with the software I was using (Adobe After Effects). Overtime, I had created many drafts and I managed to start making my own edits. I chose this activity because, editing videos has always been my hobby and with pending academic deadlines and other occasions, I couldn’t give Editing any time, so I used this opportunity to work upon my editing skills and develop new abilities. I produced a music video as I have always been passionate about music, music has helped me through in many instances, especially when I have a headache, calming music helps the headache to heal. I decided to make a music video, with graphics that would help in giving relief from an headache with calling music.

Learning outcome 2 (Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process):

This activity was a challenge to me because, it was the first time I was using Adobe After Effects. I did not know how to work this software. This required me to find different tutorials and take some help from my friends who have already been using this software. In time, I learnt how to add clips, edit clips, and add/create my own effects.

Learning outcome 3 (Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience):

This long-term activity required a lot of planning before the final execution. Researching about how the software works, what my client is expecting in the video, and most importantly gathering all the content and templates that would be required to create this video, these required knowledge and dedication. I was able to plan the requirements, because of that I managed to create my final video which was liked by my client.

Learning outcome 4 (Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences):

I worked on this video every day for at least 4 hours, this required a lot of focus and dedication. The helped me to continue making progress on my final music video with all the requirements included by the client. Often due to other activities and experiences I missed a few sessions, I later made up for the lost time by working all night.

Editing has always caught my eye; Editing is a hobby I do to pass time. this time, I decided to use this hobby in a way that could help other people facing the same issue as me. I used to look around searching for music videos that would be calming but end up finding videos’ that sometimes made the headaches worse. This activity is creative, as I had to use all my creativity to create this video with special video affects and sound effects. I will learn to care for other people’s wellbeing, since this creative music video has a cause to help people. Principles, as i had to stay principled throughout this experience, since this experience required a lot of time and effort, I had to create a timetable which would help me organize my schoolwork and be able to finish this activity
