Workout is the most important thing when it comes to physical health. Ever since I entered IBDP, I was not able to focus on my physical health due to ongoing assessments and submissions. Initially, I used to play frisbee which provided me a good few minutes of workouts for the day in order to stay healthy and fit. In order to overcome lethargy and gain more strength, I used to work out for an hour every day except weekends on school days but that too flared out because we had many assignments and deadlines to overcome. However, I had no motivation to motivate myself so I started having early morning workout sessions.
Before starting, I knew that I was quite fit because I used to play frisbee very frequently before. I usually struggle with my core and legs. I made it to a point to overcome this issue and focus on my strength and weakness. While looking for a plan, I choose to do a workout with an experienced fitness enthusiast. So that I can focus better on improving my weakness.
Initially, it was very difficult to begin the workout because I used to procrastinate it for a day or two due to some or other excuses. Then, I finally followed the workout of professional fitness enthusiasts “ Chloe Ting” and “Mad-fit”. My main goal for being fit was to build my strength so I ensure that while doing excursus I burn my fat as well as build strength. There were days or few exercises which didn’t work for my body due to some reason like the movement of the body and due to muscles being tight, at that moment I used to push myself to do at least 1 set to avoid the disturbance of the workout flow.
The biggest commitment towards this experience was to wake up early and do a workout because I am not an early morning person but due to my school hours and after school hour which was all packed up with self-study and working on assignments, pulling all-nighters and completing my pending work and waking up early for workout session was the biggest commitment I have ever made. By having commitment and presence I was able to focus on my strength and weakness and it has kept me motivated throughout the journey.
Overall, the journey was very fascinating but also a little tiring due to time management issues but I got to focus on my weakness which helped me improve on the same. However, procrastination was the major issue throughout the whole process but I made it by pushing myself to avoid delay. My personal connection throughout this journey was very best since I can get rid of my bulgy body and have transformed it in the best possible way.
