Gymming

After the lockdown, I had become very inactive and sluggish, leading to a decline in my physical fitness. To improve my posture, increase my endurance, and build muscle, I decided to join a gym. Fortunately, I am a member at a club nearby and it allows children below 18 to train, making it easy for me to access. I reached out to a gym trainer and scheduled my workout sessions for 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

LO1: I used to be very out of shape, but as soon as I acknowledged this weakness, I began working to improve it. During the first week of my gym sessions, we did exercises to loosen up my muscles and then gradually increased the intensity to build endurance, stamina, and so on. I tried to push myself every day to work as hard as I could. By recognizing our weaknesses, we can turn them into strengths, as I am trying to do. I have already seen some progress and am working towards being more fit. I used to consume a lot of junk food, but my trainer advised me to avoid it and provided me with a healthy, protein-rich diet plan.

LO2: After taking a year off from physical activity, suddenly doing intense exercise was very challenging for me. However, since I have been going to the gym regularly, my body has become stronger and I have continued to improve my fitness. The time slot for my gym sessions, which is from 5 PM to 6 PM, is also challenging as I tend to feel very tired by the time I reach the gym because it is right after school. My trainer suggested that I drink black coffee before coming to the gym to help me stay awake and perform well. I am grateful that I started this experience, as it has helped me become healthier and allowed me to live my life with more enjoyment without having to worry as much about my health in the future.

LO3: With all the workload I had from school and classes, I had to plan out my schedule totally. Other than that, the diet that I was supposed to follow had 7 meals a day. They were supposed to be consumed at a specific time from the day. So I used to carry tiffin boxes to classes and schools so that I don’t miss out on any meal.

LO4: The intense physical activity of gym workouts was initially difficult for me, causing my body to feel sore and ache after each session. However, my determination and persistence helped me to keep going, and now I experience less pain after each workout. Staying committed to my health is a priority, even when it’s challenging, because I believe that taking care of oneself is never worth compromising.

Learner Profile – Principled

The main thing I learned from this experience is that having good health is important for overall well-being and that we should make an effort to maintain our fitness and prioritize our health. This way, we can live our lives without stress.
