Trekking | Activity/Service

During our summer vacation, I and my friends planned to go on a trip, trekking trip. We planned a trip to Deo Tibba base camp. During the entire trip, we gained an altitude of 13500ft above sea level.I was very excited about this trip because I was going on such an adventurous trip after a very very long time. The hardest part was convincing my parents to allow me for going but after all, they did. We had a lot of fun trekking and going to new campsites but while traveling on new campsites when we reached every site there was litter around which we cleaned before putting up our tents.

LO 1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Trekking has always been my strong suit. As I am more of an outdoor person adventorous and physical activites have always been my strong side.during this tripped i developed my soicial skills and also i realised how fit i was because this was the first trip i went on after the lockdown. At the end of the treck i was all worn out snd tired and i realised my body needs more stamina and more fitness and also i needed to improve my communication skills to communicate easily

LO 5 – Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

working collaboratively was the most important thing in the entire trek trip because we were around 25-30 people and we had to cook our food, pitch in the tents, collect wood for bon fire at night and without working collaboratively this all would have not possible.

LO 6 – Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Hazards on enviroment and soil degradation by human activites is one of the major global issues. To solve such problem we took a tiny step on our trek.everytime we reached our new campsite we cleaned the litter around the campsite which helps improve the enviroment. This contributes to the 13th SDG of climate action by making a more friendlier and sustainable enviornment.

LO 7 – Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

After cleaning the garbage at the campsites we tied the garbage bags onto the nearby trees .However on our way back the same road we picked up the trash bag and disposed them properly.I dont think if any ethical values were crossed during the trek.
