Gym and fitness.

Over the pandemic, I had lost the motivation to keep myself healthy or active. So for my experience inactivity, I took up gym and fitness as a medium for a better, healthy lifestyle and work upon myself.

LO-1 (Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth)

From the starting of the workouts, I kept in mind my weakness due to the lack of activity. Based on my strengths and weaknesses, I designed and went ahead with my experience and developed stamina. Over time, I was able to improve upon myself and become fitter and fitter. I chose this activity due to personal preference and interest as I was able to use this as an opportunity to work upon myself and develop skills and abilities (and get better at them.)

LO-2 (Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process)

This experience was a personal challenge for me as due to lack of motivation at the time, I was driven to be my supporter and acquire new skills. It also was a new environment for me, requiring me to learn and research about fitness before getting into the exercises to prevent muscle strains and damage. Slowly, I was able to formulate my workouts with my requirements.

LO-3 (Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience)

This long-term experience required numerous planning and execution. from the research about workouts and the right ways to do them, to working out for more than a month altogether, all required motivation and knowledge. I was able to plan the required information and by doing so I was able to see effective results in my own body and feel more confident.

LO-4 (Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences)

I worked out almost every week for more than a month, this required a lot of motivation and self-control. This helped me be engaged and involved in the process of my experience and make changes to the initial plan depending on the scenes. Often due to academic deadlines and other occasions, I was forced to miss a few sessions, however, later, I made up for them and adapted to blend them. This helped me drive till the end of the long-term experience and reach completion.

Working on myself helped me physically, but also helped me develop confidence, skills and learn new things about fitness that I would have not known otherwise.
