FSMUN – CAS experience

I took FSMUN as a very good opportunity to use my organising and collaboration skills in order to develop these skills and apply them in the organising committee of the team. I applied time management skills, as well used various thinking strategies in order to decorate and organise all the committees with me and my team. We were assigned different tasks and I used most of my skills in order to decorate different venues like socials, HRC committee, UNSC committee, etc.

I was able to reflect on my time management skills, I was also able to use my creativity skills in order to decorate venues and make them fun and eye catching. I was able to provide service, by giving a hand in handing the decor. I was also a part of the on-day committee where I provided service in helping through any document sharing or helping them in any other things or resources they need.

My overall remarks from this experience was that I was able to use my various skills like time management, organising, communication, collaboration, etc. and apply them into events like these. I also had an opportunity to observe various delegates participate and guide them with how they can debate.

L2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

The challenges we came across were small, but step by step we developed and understood the problems that we were through. For example, there were a lot of things in the decoration sector that were to be done in a small amount of time, but as team we collaborated and finished it on the given time.

LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences:

We came across various problems that made our organising a little slow, but we used our time management skills and organised the event on time. We were committed to our goals and we used this as an opportunity to show our skills.
