Learning outcome 1 (Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth):
Increase awareness of my strengths and areas for growth As a football enthusiast, I was aware of my strengths and weaknesses when it came to playing the sport. However, I identified that my shooting skills could use some improvement. By using the opportunity to practice shooting at home, I gained a better understanding of my abilities and areas for growth.
Learning outcome 2 (Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process):
Practicing shooting skills alone at home presented a new challenge for me. Unlike practicing with a team, I had to motivate myself and develop a routine to ensure I consistently practiced. I also had to find creative ways to challenge myself, such as setting targets and timing myrself.
Learning outcome 3 (Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience):
To make the most of my practice sessions, I had to plan and initiate my activities. I researched and watched videos to learn new techniques and set goals for myself. I also kept a record of my progress and adjusted your practice routine as necessary to achieve your goals.
Learning outcome 4 (Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences):
While I practiced alone at home, I also collaborated with others to improve my skills. I shared my progress with my coach and teammates, who provided feedback and encouragement. I also engaged in online communities to learn from others and share my experiences.
In conclusion, my passion for football and desire to improve my skills provided an excellent opportunity for a meaningful CAS experience. By undertaking this challenge, I increased my awareness of my strengths and areas for growth, planned and initiated activities, and collaborated with others to achieve my goals.
