CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) is an experiential learning framework that encourages students to engage in meaningful and challenging activities outside of the classroom. As part of my CAS program, I decided to focus on losing weight. In this reflection, I will discuss my experience and what I learned.
Activity: Losing weight
Losing weight was a challenging activity for me. It required me to make changes to my lifestyle, such as adopting a healthier diet and incorporating more physical activity into my daily routine. I had to set goals for myself and work hard to achieve them. I tried different diets and exercise routines to find what worked best for me. It was a challenging process, but I was determined to succeed.
Service: Inspiring others
As I made progress in my weight loss journey, I realized that I could inspire others to do the same. I shared my experiences with my friends and family, and I encouraged them to make healthy lifestyle changes as well. I found that my journey inspired others to take action and make positive changes in their own lives.
Reflection: What I learned
Losing weight was a challenging but rewarding experience. I was able to make positive changes to my lifestyle that improved my health and well-being. I learned about the importance of setting goals for myself and working hard to achieve them. I also learned about the impact that healthy lifestyle changes can have on others, and how my journey could inspire others to make positive changes in their own lives.
Through my weight loss journey, I also learned about the importance of perseverance and resilience. I had to overcome setbacks and challenges along the way, but I never gave up. I learned to be patient with myself and to celebrate my progress, no matter how small.
Overall, my experience of focusing on losing weight as part of my CAS program was a positive one. It was a valuable learning experience that taught me the importance of taking care of my health and well-being. I am grateful for the opportunity to have made positive changes in my life, and I look forward to continuing to inspire others to do the same.
