During the summer vacation, I joined a exercise/zumba class for a month. Zumba was a fun way to incorporate exercise in my routine.
LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Here, the strengths I identified were punctuality and picking up choreography. Also, the area I developed in was committing to an activity that was difficult for me. I understood that in order to do important things I don’t particularly like, I need to create incentives for myself and find ways to encourage myself. For eg, I joined the class with my mom which helped me commit to this activity.
LO4 – Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
Regularly exercising is a habit that I have been trying to inculcate for a long time. This is something that I have difficulty committing to and persevering in on my own. To help me persevere, I joined a class so that I would have to go to class regularly. Also, exercising with other people and my mother joining the class with me was also encouraging. Another thing that helped me persevere was that every few days we would do zumba which was really fun for me.
