As a BM event, my friends and I volunteered in the event and had a stall to entertain the audience. The stall had games of businesses to match with their logo and tagline within a time limit. The game was very appreciated by the audience and the stall was very crowded.
LO 1 is Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth. Communication is one of the strongest ability of mine. I volunteered at the swappers stop event, in my group I made sure that their were no miscommunication in the group as it is very often that while working in groups. This made the us well-organized and for us the event went smooth. As of my character I am an extrovert so I ensured to speak with as many people as possible, and so attracted a lot of audience towards our stall.
LO 2 is Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process. The main challenge of the event for our group was to ensure and organise a game that would not bore the audience and is not time consuming. Additionally, our supervisor did not allow 3 games to be played due to multiple reasons such as not related to subject or the theme of the event. Hence, organising a game that suits the Moto of the event was very challenging.
LO 3 is Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience. I am usually a very unorganised person, so organising myself and the group was a challenging part for me. Planning the process was hard for me as I knew that I would procrastinate my work till the very end and would miss the deadline, so I made sure to do my work every day so that till the deadline I would finish majority of the work. More over, CAS experience was fun and enjoyable for me and my entire group.
LO 5 is Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively. Working collaboratively divided our work within the group. So all 4 of us had something or other to work with. my friend and I had to find companies and their logo and the other 2 had to find tagline and get them printed. While in the process communication skills were developed cause it required us to communicate within our group and with ton’s of audience as well.
