The art of photography is both fascinating and fulfilling. I adore capturing moments and memories. A wonderful approach to remember the past and feel it in the present is through photographs. I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures as a hobby and have always wanted to go into it. My ability to be creative will increase as a result of taking pictures in various angles and settings. In order to show off my ingenuity to others, I also created an Instagram account.
LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth: I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses during this experience by exploring new modes of the camera. I was unable to set shutter speed and aperture which was a weakness for me. I was able to click a perfect photo by setting up the grid, mode, and color which was a strength for me. I overcome this weakness by watching online tutorials, on YouTube by reputed channels.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process: The most challenging part of photography was timing. A perfect photo needs to have proper settings in the camera, which I failed to do many times while I was clicking photos. I have done this similar thing when I chose digital media as my AS subject where we learned some basic skills for photography. I overcome this challenge by watching tutorials and informative websites which were published by professionals. The skills of photography will help me in future, as this is one of my passions, I have always love to click photographs, so in future I will be able to pursue my passion.
LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience: I organized myself, with the help of planning, Every photo has a time to get clicked, If I want a sunset photo, I have to do photography around 6 to 7 pm. Night photography and daylight photography needs to be clicked on different times which needed proper planning. It is important to know how to initiate or plan activities so that we don’t miss out any important thing, and we will be confident on our own actions and planning. Initiating was more difficult rather than planning because, I had limited amount of time due to my submissions and assignments by which initiating this experience was difficult because photography is very time-consuming activity.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences: In this experience commitment was necessary because it is very time consuming, but the result is very rewarding. If I would give up or be lazy while doing photography, I will not reach to the expected outcome. It is easy for me to commit things if it is of my interest, I am usually committed to things that I like, or it is my hobby or it makes me happy while doing that task. I always find photography an interesting task and job, so I am committed to do this experience.
