For this experience, I joined a class for Football which helps me to improve my fitness. I joined the classes for 3 months and improved upon many things like skills, techniques, and all. Since the situation of covid, I was not able to take my fitness seriously because of which my fitness, endurance, and tactics were not the same as it was before.
LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for growth.
With the help of my football coach, I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses. Due to a lack of endurance, I was not able to perform well as I was not able to run or jog for more time. So I identified that I had to work upon my endurance which was my weakness. As my position was a goalkeeper so which training I came to know that I had good jump and flexibility which helped me to save goals but my reflexes were a little weak and so I started training every day on it and because of proper training and dedication towards improvement I was able to overcome my weaknesses and after that, I also got selected in the team for football tournaments.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
The main challenge for me was physical fitness to play football. Because of the covid-19 situation, all my physical activities had been stopped which had affected me a lot and I had become lazy. The first day when I joined the football classes we had endurance training I was exhausted and I felt that I could not do it anymore and that I should quit as I had body ache for a weak after the training. However, with time I started getting physically fit and gaining stamina and also learned new diving techniques and kicking techniques which improved my game a lot, which also helped me enjoy while playing and get good at it.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
One of the instances, when I needed to show commitment and perseverance, was when there was a lot of a load of work given from the school and had continuous assessments where I had to focus on studying and physical fitness both at the same time and I had limited amount of time. Many times I felt like not going to football classes and staying home to study and prepare for my upcoming assessments but I showed perseverance and attended the classes.
