Since the start, I’ve always been inclined to personal finance and growth. To expand my knowledge and have partial work in the field I started doing an internship at NJ invest which is a surat-based personal finance company. For that, I first had to create a LinkedIn account and look for companies interested in offering an internship to students then after connecting with several people, I finally got this chance to work in NJ invest. To do the internship I must have prior knowledge of mutual funds so I appeared for a test and passed with great marks.
Lo 2
Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken by developing new skills, for me I did have prior knowledge of the basics of personal finance and I also made a blog for the same. But the fieldwork was something new for me and I didn’t know much about it. After a few trials and errors, I finally learned the operations behind a mutual funds company.
Lo 4
commitment to and perseverance. During the whole month, I also had to work for my re-test in school and at times it was getting a little hectic so then I decided to create a balance between them by assigning days to specific tasks and my learning was increasing every day as practical knowledge is always better than just studying concepts about it.
Lo 7
Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions. Since this was a firm I wasn’t completely aware of and I also was facing a few issues when I joined. There was high bureaucracy and I had to work according to the work policies and time hours as if I was one of the employees only that way I recognized the ethics of the workplace and how to behave around your colleagues and also understood the ethics and how to behave in a certain action.
Overall the experience was very learning full and I got to know a lot of things that I didn’t know before and my basics also got upgraded.
