I decided to volunteer at Divyang school for differently-abled children and spent my day with the students there. I helped them serve food and played with them. The purpose of this experience was to provide service to the less privileged and raise more awareness about the school. The LO’s I was able to achieve through it were LO 5 and LO 6.

LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

There were a few other volunteers too. Sometimes, working with others can be a little difficult, however, our work became much easier as we were able to divide tasks, making everything more quick and efficient.

LO 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

The children there were differently abled, they either had physical or mental impairments that prevented them from participating in society and living a normal life. By taking part in this initiative, we tried to make them feel more equal by spending time with them and participating in different activities.
