During my summer holiday, I travelled to Deo Tibba Base Camp in Manali for ten days with 30 of my friends to go trekking. Adventure World, a company, organized and managed the six-day trekking period. The memories I made, the difficulties I conquered, the splendor of nature, and the joy were all beyond anything I could have anticipated. This was a journey of a lifetime.
LO1 : During the period of Trekking, I had good fitness overall, I faced very minimal problems during the trek , where as others who were present in the trek , tend to face many problems, which i didn’t. I also had a camera with me , as being an artist , I always had a good sight for aesthetic. I filmed and captured a lot of memories and photographs during the trek. I use to think about what the view would be once we finished the trek , and that was the thing that motivated me the most.
LO2 : During the duration of the trek, it was very hard to survive in cold weather. Back at home, I often use to get sick during the winters, because of the extreme cold and breeze, I was always more prone in winter. Hence joining this trip would be a big risk for me, as It would be hard for me to handle myself, if i get sick during the time of trek. But somehow, I managed to stay healthy and finished the trek. I was very careful of what i ate during that time, I strictly avoided things which even had a minor probability to make sick.
LO3 : Perseverance was essential for this CAS experience. I had to keep going after we started climbing; we had to reach the highest campsite, which required a lot of endurance. I started to struggle with insufficient sleep around the third day, but I had to finish the hike and persevere for another three days. I faced these difficulties with the support of the instructors and my friends.
LO7 : We were very considerate of the surroundings, and the nature we were enclosed by , We were responsible the whole trip , as we wanted to leave the place , like we saw the first time.
