My purpose for selecting this CAS experience is to have more knowledge about business and utilize my free time to read knowledgeable books to help me with the future and provide me with more knowledge on how business works and how hard it is. The book I chose to read was rich dad poor dad which is one of the most known business books as it shows real-life examples about business and also provides the correct knowledge about real life and how a business works. Reading this book took a month’s time as I was deep reading it and noting down the important points. this CAS experience comes under creativity as it is exploring and extending ideas leading to an original or interpretive product or performance.

The learning outcomes I had chosen were 1,2,3, learning outcome number 1 was to Identify my own strengths and develop areas for growth. I identified my strengths and weakness, my strengths were that I was able to note down the important points in fact I didn’t have a weakness in the experience as I already had my interest in the business. but it’s still important for us to know our strengths and weakness when doing something as we can work according to it now have any fault results.

learning outcome number 2 was to demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process. I faced only a few challenges throughout the whole month which were mainly not using my free time to read the book and play games as I always used to play games in my free time and it was hard for me to say no to my friends. I have read books in the past but not in 1 month I used to read whenever I felt like reading it. I now feel like I gave birth to a new me with more knowledge in myself and thinking more practically than in theory.it will be very useful in my future as I have gained more knowledge as they say you should be a better version of yourself than yesterday you. It is important for us to learn new skills in order to have more knowledge.

learning outcome number 3 was to demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience. I organized myself by not doing anything I just utilized my free time into reading the book. I am usually an organized person for something I had to say but when it comes to staying punctual I am always on time.it was a bit difficult for me but I had to read it because I wanted to know more about business as it has my interest to its maximum.

the learner profile attribute for this experience is knowledge as I am going to develop a conceptual understanding of the business. there is also a link to my subject which is business management higher level as it provides me with more knowledge and I will be able to score more in exams and it was. very good opportunity for me as I was able to learn theory through school and practical business through the book. the highlight of this experience of this was being so excited about reading the book that I once went to read 50 pages at once. my perspectives were also altered during reading the book as I had known more about a business and how hard or easy it can be. I achieved success with my experience and I am very happy about it. I would like to do the same activity again but with another book. I am going to apply this learning from my activity to real life and also my school.

the conclusion for this CAS experience was that I met my target through showing commitment and perseverance throughout the month and I would also recommend this book to others. one famous line from the book was “you should not work for the money, the money should work for you”.
