A healthy and clean surat is a dream for a lot of people. Every day people use resources, food products, plastics bags, etc and after use, they just throw it away without any proper waste management. To improve the environment I went to dumas beach on weekends for 2 weeks with my friends and collected a load of garbage and litter. There were many challenges we faced during cleaning but we managed to collect and dispose of the garbage properly which helped me learn a lot in different ways.
Lo 3:
There was a lot of planning done to execute this CAS experience. We were a group of 4 people so there was a lot of planning done to decide the time, place, and date for the experience as it was very hard to decide these things that are convenient for all the members of the group. All of this planning was done by either WhatsApp or phone call so there would be no miscommunications. Also, a lot of planning was done while disposing of the garbage.
LO5:
By working collaboratively we were able to collect a lot of litter/trash from the beach. If were to clean the beach alone I would have consumed a lot of time collecting the trash and decomposing it. Together I had a lot of help from my friends as we were able to collect a huge amount of trash every day while consuming less time.
LO6:
The experience which we took was in alignment with sustainable goals, “Clean Water and Sanitation” and “Good Health and Well-being”. Cleaning garbage not only helped to clean the environment but also keeps water clean. Removing garbage like plastic, cans, bottles helped small beings on the beach to live in a clean environment.
