Doodling is always been my passion. Doodle is an art that is made on white black paper with a black marker or pen. Doodles are sometimes having meaningful drawings and different cartoon characters which signifies the thoughts of the artist. I personally, made doodles by looking on online doodle. I copied in my doodle book and represented it in different styles. I have around 4-5 doodles made by me.
The learning outcome which helped me learn is LO 3. I organized a CAS experience by researching into the internet about doodles and how to draw them. I organized every step by step process by first researching many doodles, secondly filtering the meaningful doodles then learning how to draw and where to start, and lastly to finishing the art. I am an organized person because I always need finishing in my works and finishing can only come when we create the organizational structures step by step. Planning was difficult as I didn’t know where to start from and where to end so I researched a lot then I portrayed it in my art book. I discovered my artistic skills which helped me to be creative. Planning and initiating will be easy in the future because I know what are the steps and also how to follow the procedure. It is important to plan activities so that we can always stay with a running mind and sharp mind. Also, we are good at management and understanding the processes step by step.
The learning outcome which I focused on was LO 4. I made many doodles but having patience and showing commitment in it can only lead to the best results. This activity requires patience and that’s where the commitment is required because focusing on one thing for a long duration is difficult because we get distracted easily. I made doodles in straight 2 hours which made my commitment successful and I was stuck to one goal. It is not easy for me to commit things because once we lose then we have the confidence down and then we are less likely to do that work. Patience level was required for this activity.
The learning outcome which helped me learn is LO 6. Because I have created an art piece (doodle) on the global significance or a social issue which is deaths due to suicide. Around 800,000 people die in the whole world every year due to committing suicide. I decided to work on a global significance also social issue to help people re-think their lives. It came as an idea in my mind because one fine day I was reading a newspaper and then I saw news articles about people dying due to suicide, especially teenagers. Many teens died after committing suicide and then I thought of creating a doodle on it. It also contributes to my personal growth as I am helping someone to re-think their lives and might choose another way of coming out of the problem or depressing they were suffering through. I am helping people by this doodle and when I help I feel happy to know that someone is getting benefitted through it and therefore I feel good.
This activity will benefit others when they might change the thought to not suicide. The highlight of this experience for me was creating the artwork because there I found out that I have artistic skills also. I achieved success because I made the same doodle that I found on the internet. It bought me enjoyment and accomplishment when I was showing my commitment till the last line of my doodle.
