I had taken this internship on hospitality management as suggested by my counselor and also I had taken an aptitude test where this course was one of the mentioned.Hospitality management is a wide field of administration,organization and running hotels,restaurants and resorts in an efficient manner.This field is highly driven by customer satisfaction where this internship included subjects such as food and beverage production,management principles etc.

LO1- Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Taking this internship made me realize many strengths and weaknesses I could face in the future if I go for a career in this sector.My strength throughout this internship was analytical skills where I was good in tasks of managing different things.My major area of weakness was organizational skills.

LO2- Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
in the process

At first I thought this sector is very easy to handle but gradually throughout the course I got to know that this sector requires a lot of effort to meet customer satisfaction.The main challenge faced was that I has very little knowledge about this sector before starting but at the end it was a worthy internship where I overcame my challenge and acquired new skills.

LO3-

This internship was divided into various parts so I catered each segment each alternative day so I could focus more clearly.I got to know more skills required regarding the career which I wasn’t acquainted before.In the future it would be easier for me to decide if this path is a right choice for me or not.

LO4-Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

From the start till the end I was fully focused and concentrated for this internship as this is a small step in my life to choose this sector as a career choice or not.To fulfil this I catered some time out during the day to complete this course with full commitment.

LO7-Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

There are various ethical issues concerning this sector.One of them is that to ethically treat your customers in the right manner.This made me feel that this career requires a calm and composed attitude to treat the customers with happiness.
