Fitness is one of my top priorities in my lifestyle and a small objective towards it was to have an experience of a trek. Even going on the trek has several physical fitness requirements so going for running and cycling every weekend for at least a month was the experience I chose to accomplish these goals.
I ran and cycled alternately on weekends for a whole month and recorded the data through mobile applications named Strava and Nike Running Club.
Running and Cycling every weekend was tiring throughout the experience but it helped me recognize my own physical fitness and how much I need to work upon it. I had set a goal of completing 5 km in 40 minutes while running. For the first time it was actually tough to achieve it and for the other time I went a little easy. For cycling, I did not set a time limit although I decided on a particular location where I wanted to cycle to and tried to get as little rest as I could to get the best possible results. The experience as a whole was great as I got to achieve the objectives I had set and I had a fun time as I did the activity with my friends.
I had to be persistent and fully committed throughout the activity to achieve this goal as lack of both of those things would’ve created disappointing results for me. The difficult goal that I had set and being consistent about the activity, following it well such as doing it for the whole month created the difficulty of it.
The commitment for focus, time management and pushing continuously till the set goal is completed was prominent for this activity. The biggest difficulty is staying committed and motivated to complete this tiring activity. My only reason to stay committed and persistent throughout was to achieve my goals and know more about my physical fitness.
Although it was difficult to stay like that, it was very important because that pushed me and helped me to the edge for completing the experience which resulted in helping me achieve my goals too.
Here are the results of running and cycling:
