Khoj was a TOK exhibition where students displayed their findings based on the IA prompts they selected. Me and my friends decided we wanted to organize the event rather than having our school do it. We selected a team of 11 to come up with ideas and decorate the venues.
LO3:
As not only teachers but other students would also come to visit the exhibition it was necessary that we organize the event in such a way that it wouldn’t create confusion, since there were two venues for the event we first divided the students into the two venues according to the venue size. Then as a group we came up with ideas on how we could decorate the venues, the first ideas were shot down by the teachers as after the event the decoration would be wasted, therefore we came up with other ideas which were approved.
LO4:
As Khoj was a significant event, we planned the exhibition for a little over 3 weeks to finally finish everything in the last hour of the event. Each day we came to a meeting or in school for an hour to come up with ideas or we did the work assigned to us on our own.
LO5:
Since the event was organized with a group of 11 people, there were many different ideas that everyone would pitch, since the theme was exploration of knowledge. One of the best ideas was a vintage style map on the entrance of each venue with students’ names guiding the visitors. Other ideas were a banner and TOK objects under the tree for display.
