I have a passionate interest in the biological sciences, I want to pursue a career in medicine as well. Hence when the opportunity to do something different and explore the subject with the aid of an expert who has been working in the field for years, I took it up immediately, it would not only be a learning experience to work on my strengths and add another skill to my skillset (LO 1). 

To start off, I needed to convince m professor I am competent and passionate about the subject enough so as to get him to help in carrying out the research, therefore when I went to Veer Narmad University for the first few times, it was only for observation, getting to know how everything works and what the research is about. Secondly, I also had to manage time efficiently in order to successfully complete this experience, the task demanded a time commitment of over 80 hours, 10 hours a week, hence managing my school work, other commitments and research was a challenging task but help me develop on my time management skills (LO 2, 3 and 4).

The biggest help I had in accomplishing this task was working with the professor, he regularly solved my doubts, taught me how to process observations, and interpret results, and took all my inputs with relevant importance. Overall without his collaboration, I would not have been able to successfully complete the experience and the paper itself (LO 5). 

The research I conducted was connected to the Covid 19 virus and how it affects individuals, and their body systems, we also explored how certain treatments affect its spread. Therefore the research is connected to an issue of global significance. (LO 6). However none of the research done included testing on animals, and all scientific ethical standards were taken into account and it was ensured that none of them were violated (LO 7).
