Anand Utsav was an event organized by our peers. The event was for the support staff and the Admin team of our school. This event included a lot of games and fun activities for the staff. We students were in charge of different game stalls.

I was one of the on-day voulenteers of this event. The role of the on day voulenteers was to carry out the games for the staff member. We had manage different games. The games of this event included tug of war, basketball, frisbee, football etc and in the end the event ended with the Gujrati traditional dance, Garba.

The learning outcomes catered in this event

• Learning outcome 1 which talks about indetifying strengths and develop areas for growth. I identified that I am very good at communication and can make the other person feel comfortbale while talking to me. Also I was able to persuade the support staff to play all games. In this event the staff felt shy and were not opening up to the students so easily, however I could manage to hype them up and make them take part in the activities.And I was a part of the dance activity, garba, since I already knew the dance form and taught the same to others.

• Another leaning outcome catered in this event could be learning outcome 5 which is demonstrating the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively. Throughtout this event we had to work in groups. The decor and preparations needed for this event involved a lot of group tasks. Since this event was on a pretty large scale working collaboratively was essential.

• Learning outcome 7 also seems apt for this event as I voulenteered for this event to show how grateful I was to the support staff of our school. The importance of ‘acts of kindness’ and paying it forward. The main motto of this event was acknowledge and thank the support staff and the admin staff for everything they do for us students. The learning outcome 7 talks about the ethics of choices and actions.

The experience at Anand Utsav was pretty memorable. In my entire school life I had never intracted with the support staff and admin staff in such a way. In this event we actually were like friends to them. The learner profile caring connects to this experience as we showed how much we care for the efforts they pt for us regularly and how much we respect them
