After seeing beaches in other cities as well as other countries, we don’t have a beach in our city where we can relax peacefully so I decided to take this action. Everyone wants a clean and healthy city. There is a whole lot of dirt on beaches. One of the most famous beach is Surat is now filled with garbage such as food leftovers, plastic bags and many more things which could harm the environment. To help with the same problem I went to dumas beach for 6 weeks and collected a lot of garbage. We faced a lot of challenges while disposing the waste because we had to separate recyclable and non recyclable products to dispose them.

We had to plan the whole thing as we were 5 people and we had to give roles to everyone such as one will bring safety gloves, garbage bag, other will separate non-recyclable and recyclable garbage. All of it was done with everyone’s cooperation. And if anything would be missing our whole plan could’ve been messed up, without proper communication none it would have been possible.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Every one of us had a role and without a team, it would end up being really tedious for me to manage every single thing. With a team, everything seemed easier, such as disposing waste and even while cleaning up the beach it barely took us 4 hours each weekend. It was all possible because because each one of us had a role given which we had to fulfill which we did and worked collaboratively.

LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

We pondered upon an issue which was directly related to sanitation, healthy lifestyle, clean water which had a direct impact on everyone’s well-being. Cleaning up the litter helped us provide a better experience to everyone while catering their health and well-being. It also directly correlates with water pollution.
