My friends and I collectively decided to go for the beach clean-up. The goal of this activity was to offer the people and those who reside there with clean surroundings. The beach was filled with plastic packets, and cans and there were many street dogs around the area feeding on it, so we also wanted to make the area clear for these street dogs.

My friends and I worked collaboratively on this project to get larger and better results. Our objective was very clear on what we wanted to achieve so there was coordination and cooperation was automatically present. We all acted as leaders with no individual having the upper hand so that cooperation was maintained throughout. We all worked in the team so the things that were needed such as gloves, garbage bags, stand for the photos, etc were asked to get by whoever had it. So at the beach people can share it among themselves.

The major issue was the disregard our communities have towards the environment and sustainability. People threw waste around the beach, most of it was non-biodegradable waste such as plastic. This was major disrespect to the environment, to the people living in that area, and to the animals. we are provided with enough knowledge from our school as well as our community on how you should respect the environment.

LO7:Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

we went to the beach around the covid times and I was very uncertain about the decision. But it was my choice to go there with proper sanitation and covid equipment. We made a choice to show respect to our environment by cleaning the beach.
