Fountainhead Model United Nations, is a flagship event of Fountainhead school, in which I contributed my creativity by co leading the décor team and the social media content creation. Along with one of my fellow classmate, we did the décor of 3 distinct locations which included the opening ceremony/closing ceremony venues, debate venues, and the social venue. I also contributed by proving captions for the marketing of the event on the social media platforms.
LO 2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
I have never led the décor team as a part of any other school events, considering that this was a very important event hosted by the school each year, the bar set was high, which put on a lot of responsibilities on me as a co-head. I learnt important skills such as division of work, collaboration and making group decisions. Delegating the work was a challenge, as I had to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each member and assign them the work accordingly. I also had to continuously take updates from other members and keep pushing them to complete the work. Although, all these challenges have helped me gain better leadership skills.
LO 5 – Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
This was a team based work, the entire organizing committee was working together to make this event a success. I demonstrated social skills, by being paying an active leadership role, and working collaboratively as a team.
