creativity- participating in FS MUN
GOAL- To develop debating skills and to socialize with the ones I am unknown to
LO 1- Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
strengths-
in our school we have a lot of debates in language classes or global politics classes so I had a certain idea of how to do a debate and how to execute a debate which worked as a advantage for me. Another strength of mine is that I researched on the topic in detail with nice examples and evidence which is why I could clearly justify my points and address it clearly. As I got Lok Sabha committee we got politicians of India so this worked as a advantage as we need to speak for India and not other country who we are not aware of much.
weakness-
As it was my first time to attend any MUN so I was not aware of the traditional flow of a MUN and the professional way of doing a debate. Also my speaking skills is very poor where I lack as I have lit bit of stage fear which takes away my confidence of speaking my points. I am a introvert so socializing is difficult for me which made my experience of FS MUN more difficult and as many of the participants were new to me it raised the bar of difficulties for me.
it is important for us to know that what are our strength and weakness as it helps us to prepare us according to our strength and weakness which help to execute our planning very well. I would definitely like to work on my weakness of weak speaking skills and stage fear if I would not have this weakness then I would definitely been gotten the certificate for best delegate
LO 2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
The challenges that I faced during the process of FSMUN registration was that I decided to join it very late as I did not fill the form before the deadline for joining FSMUN so I had to go to the organization team and request to take me and it took time for them to agree to my request. As I was late in filling the form so I did not get my first preference of committee and I got the last slot in LOK Sabha committee so researching on that was difficult because the person from BJP party which I got, about her their didn’t had much information on internet. The biggest challenge that I faced was as my socializing skills is bad and the people with whom I was working in the committee were the ones who are in my school but I didn’t know them because they were not in my class or grade so that part was difficult for me to overcome.
LO 5- Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
During FSMUN we had to do things as a whole party of BJP as we where debating as BJP VS congress as I was a part of LOK Sabha committee and not like other committee where we only had to give our personal perspectives and then debate here while we had to work as a BJP party as a we had to take decisions like changing the PM and giving solutions to cater the problem on which we were debating on so all these things we had to do as a group.
LO 6-Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
As the topic on which we were debating was a global issue and we were discussing on it and at last we also found out some solutions to solve the problem and if we see then we can actually post the solutions on social media or send a letter to the government to cater to our solutions so that it could have a greater impact to a greater level.
LO 7- Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
the ethical considerations which we had been catering to while doing FS MUN was that while putting across any point by any participant we have been supporting our point which examples which included giving numbers and figures from google so while saying that we had to actually say that from where did we got that information the cite and then the other team also checked that whether the information which other team has stated is true or not so that the debate is ethically and morally correct and not just based on our opinions.

knowledgeable– I gained a lot of knowledge through the debate happened on the topic which gave me more knowledge about our country’s situation as my committee was lok sabha also while preparing for the debate we had to research on the topic so that we could get points or perspectives on the different ministers involved on the topic.
