TNC

TNC is a team where we produce monthly editions of our magazine The Corridors in which we have a varied range of topics covered from Arts, News, Book Reviews, Sports, Debates, Politics, Music, and Literature. Being a part of the photography team I was supposed to capture the things or pictures which would support the written pieces by the author in order to make their pieces deliver more to the readers. Starting from our early publications in which we didn’t have so many number topics being covered, I was asked to take the shots of simple things such as perspective-based pictures or basic sceneries. As and when we grow the demand from the editorial board increased and asked me to get a better and wider range of additional pictures for the magazine and more of something abstract. Identifying photography as my strength allowed me to get engaged with EB of the magazine and I could be a part of a team. Knowing this strength allowed me to expose myself to being a part of such a team from everyone around the high school. The challenging part came when the EB grew larger and we kept on publishing more editions later on. I have always been into wildlife and urban photography but being a part of the EB made me get into perspective-based photography and also abstract capturing of the surroundings. Photography for such a magazine was done by me for the first time and has been a wonderful experience. Overcoming this challenge came with an experience where capturing varied things gave me an idea that how can my pictures support the authors in different ways. Undertaking this challenge makes me feel proud and more skillful that in the future I would already have an existing knowledge for the knowledge gained. Learning how to capture something beyond the horizon helped me to know that how professional photographers look at different things and how will I be able to observe their skills and inculcate the same within me. Organizing for the TNC schedule was easy as we had monthly submissions and being a photographer I would have time for around 10 days to submit the photographs to the EB. Initiating the plan was a bit difficult as this was the new field of photography I was exploring in order to deliver my best to the EB.
