Anand Utsav was a student led event where we planned a day filled with activities and games for our school support staff as way to show gratitude towards their hard work. I was a volunteer at this event where I helped in managing and conducting the activities. This experience is an aspect of service and creativity as I participated in an event where I volunteered to help and also made use of my creative skills in activities like décor.

LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
Since we had to plan out an entire day with a lot of logistics , we used spreadsheets to organize ourselves and used whatsapp as a mode of communication. Initially , organizing felt difficult because till the last moment we were even unsure about the number of volunteers we have but as we started working , things started to get in place. There were also instances where things did not go as planned and it became chaotic. However, with strong team work , we were able to hand those situations as well.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
This event was a team effort where I had to work collaboratively with the other volunteers. Here, working with others was very helpful to me because we had many tasks at hand that 1 person could not have possibly done. We all divided those tasks among ourselves to ease the process for everybody. To add on , I enjoyed this group task as we carried along with laughter while doing our work.
