I as a student know that plants are very important as the play a very vital role in keeping our surrounding refreshing and joyful.I always wanted to take care of plants but due to the fact that i don’t know how to take care of a plant, but i learnt it and was successful in growing a tulsi plant.
Learning Outcomes:
LO3:
Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.
First of all before growing tulsi plant i had done research on how many days it would take it to grow and i found out that it takes 60 days to grow but when i catered this to my grandma she told me that we grow a different type of tulsi plant and it takes approximately 80 to 90 days to grow.i recorded the days and length of the duration and this helps me to see my plant grow substantially.
LO5:
Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
In my childhood i was very close to my grandmother but as i grew up i started feeling that i have lost connection with her but due to this experience our bond became strong again because she was very helpful to me and as i didn’t knew anything about planting me, she helped me to understand it and that is why i was able to learn a new skill.
LO6:
Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance.
The global issue prominent around the world is “global warming” and it is mainly caused due to cutting down of trees and plants because they help in storing carbon dioxide and give out oxygen which is essential for the survival of the living beings. Due to the fact that the Tulsi plant provides oxygen for 24 hours, it was more prominent to grow a tulsi plant than any other.
LO7:
Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions.
Being and integral part of this world everyone should contribute in this act as we can see our earth is suffering due to our misdeeds. It is our duty to safeguard our plant so that it can recover faster and to do this we all have to take initiative of growing atleast one tree or plant because one can also make a difference.
