As a child, I had a passion for photography but was unable to pursue it regularly due to my academic commitments. However, starting this experience has provided me an opportunity to fulfill my interest.

LO1: Through this experience, I have gained insight into my strengths and weaknesses in photography. I am now more confident and conscious of my limitations, and I know what steps I need to take to improve. Understanding our strengths and weaknesses is crucial for personal growth. For instance, I struggled with editing pictures, but I kept practicing until I mastered editing. Sometimes choosing the right angle for better aesthetics of a particular picture was difficult. Developing that sense also took time.

LO2: One of my goals in choosing photography as my experience was to acquire new skills. Although it was challenging, it was also thrilling for me. I pushed myself to take average pictures and then edit them to make them look better, which was not an easy task. You have to be at the right place at the right time to capture those shots, or you might miss it. Through this process, I learned various new techniques. The camera has various functions and by learning about them, you can determine which one to use in specific situations

LO4: Achieving anything requires dedication and determination. It was easy for me to stay committed to this experience because I enjoyed it. In order to complete it, I had to create a schedule and always carry my camera with me to take advantage of every opportunity to capture photos. Demonstrating commitment and persistence is increasingly crucial in today’s world. By being dedicated and determined, you are giving your goal the necessary time and effort to succeed.

Undertaking this experience has made me a more contemplative person. I have a fondness for capturing nature through my photography. Before this experience, I had already taken many pictures of nature’s beauty. However, this experience has made me reflect on the fact that as humans, we are not fulfilling our responsibilities towards preserving nature. We are so focused on economic growth that we neglect the environment. This experience has made me realize that it is my responsibility to do what I can to protect nature.
