Experience 1 – Gym

This experience was a long term activity that would help me in recovering from my physical health, by going to the gym 5 days a week and at least one hour. Covid was a pandemic which caused lock-down in several countries including mine, this forced everyone to stay home. Restricting me to say at home and taking away almost all the was of physical activities. Causing my physical health to decrease significantly. Going to the gym regularly and focusing on my cardio more daily, will help me recover my stamina and strength. Doing exercises like running on treadmills, cycling, lifting weights and numinous more will help me improve on different things i’m working on.

As covid spread around the world, in India the government announced lockdown because fo which people couldn’t leave their homes. This restricted us by taking away facilities and activities to maintain good health and a fit body. After covid I realised my physical strength had exponentially decreased. This made me determined to get back to the pervious level or greater. I joined the gym and identified my strength and weakness. Strengths were my dedication and consistency while my weakness was stamina. After identifying these I knew the target and what I had to work on more which helped me achieve my goal faster.

  • L2 ( Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process )

Going to the gym was a whole new experience to me, it was intense, time consuming and had to be done regularly for decent results. Due to intense training and my weakness being stamina I was unable to do workouts regularly and not being able to giving my 100% due to sore muscles this became a challenge to me as, if I couldn’t give 100% towards the workout there wont be good progress, to overcome this I had to start a diet and be consistent to gym as time progressed I developed strength like never before and gained the stamina that I had once.

  • L3 ( Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience )

To achieve my goal I had to plan out a whole new timetable to fit in the time for gym and workout. I started my adjusting and sacrificing my leisure time towards this, then I had to plan out my workout as there is a different exercises that works on specific muscles and helping on growth. This was one side of the planning, doing workout may be helpful but with working out we need a side by side diet which will help in muscle growth and recovery, as my workout began I needed to plan my diet accordingly. This is how I organised this CAS experience

  • L4 ( Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences )

As improving physical health is not an instant process I had to devote myself and commit to it, by going regularly 5 days a week for at least an hour of training. This will help me restore, maintain and improve my health. With this commitment I should be able to achieve my goal in 2 months, with my endurance back on track and more strength.

Take Away :

Concluding, this experience will help me recover on what all things i’m lost related to physical health due to lock-down and also improve as well as sharpen them. This experience helped me list done my strengths and weakness. With this experience I will recover what I lost in training in the gym. With the help and assistance of the gym trainer it will help me even more as he will be guiding me throughout the training. Teach me different exercises, correct my posture and a lot more. With all this and determination to achieve my goal I will able to concur this challenge of improving on my physical health.
