An NGO that educates children with special needs operates on the personal funds, donations, and orders taken by the organisation, which in turn helps in the purchase of resources and running the school. One of our classmates recently contacted us before Diwali about volunteering for a service that required creative abilities. His mother is a member of the NGO. For Diwali, 10,000 Rangoli sets were ordered from Shree Mahadev Educational & Rehabilitation Public Charitable Trust. The centre of each set had painted symbols from folk art and stonework. It was expected of each student to volunteer their time and create at least 15-20 sets of Rangoli.I created at least 15 sets of rangoli pieces, which entailed embellishing with beads and glasses in a pattern as well as painting acrylic miniatures. My work has never been organised up to this point, and it is obvious from each of my creations that I lack patience. I attempted to be neatly organised throughout the 20 rangoli sets, patient with every step, and kept my mind at ease while I worked. I took this experience as a challenge. The rangoli sets had to be completed before Diwali in order to be distributed on time because this experience had been scheduled extremely last-minute and our examinations were coming up. I had to take a break from all of my IA of Design technology in order to complete the rangolis on time. I came together to complete the rangoli sets because I was determined to doing so, and I used time management techniques.
