Art page

For my first creative experience, I created an art page to post all the artworks that I designed. Till now I have posted 4-5 artworks and considering my interest in visual arts, I tried new media and artforms for my posts. Having a passion for art since I can remember has motivated me to explore more advanced areas in the art that I gradually wish to adapt to, this particular experience presents me the opportunity to do the same.

It has helped me develop my art skills and I got to experience new learning styles in this field of work. I made a new art page on Instagram to post pictures of my artworks twice a month publicly to share my ideas and work that I portrayed. There are countless art styles to work on and learning them has helped me identify the styles that I personally like, for example, charcoal, acrylic, live sketch, etc.

LO1-
I identified the areas that trouble me while painting, since I was working without any expertise or guidance from an art instructor I understood where I needed to work on or the art style I got most difficulty with. Due to a previous experience in visual arts, I was able to easily work on live sketches, however, my portrait-making skills were weak. Gradually, I started to improve and could easily sketch a portrait without the difficulties that I faced before.

LO3-
Since my organizational skills are good enough to manage my time in my other priorities like school work and sketching frequently, however, it took some extra effort to learn the new media through tutorials, practice my skills and finally begin the artwork. The planning was doable most of the time but in some cases, initializing the actual process was the crucial part that was highly time-consuming.

The skills that I didn’t realize I had developed throughout the whole experience were adaptability; I easily caught up with the skills and techniques used in a new media, I could understand how to view an object differently to be able to sketch it with almost perfection, another skill that I explored was the flexibility; I practiced in a diverse range of art media and I combine the skills and techniques from one another.

LO4-
It wasn’t much of a difficult task to commit since somehow this has been a constant hobby that I lean towards whenever I feel the need to express in form of art, hence, the commitment wasn’t a big issue, and posting my personal work inspires me to work on some more since this hobby was something once I intended to pursue a few years back.

Final takeaway-
This experience was extremely helpful and guided me to learn different styles and techniques by myself. I took a step further in visual arts and it motivated me to try new things since I realized that I had the ability to adapt to various forms of art media.
